The short version
You don’t need an account, a sign-up or any form to read vanlife4life.com. The only information handled is what your browser sends technically when you visit, plus the cookies described below. This page explains what is collected, why, and how to opt out, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation 2016/679).
Who is responsible
Jean-Baptiste Ducroc, reachable at contact@vanlife4life.com.
What is processed and why
Running the site. Like any web server, our hosting provider keeps technical logs (IP address, date, page requested) to keep the site secure and available. Legal basis: the legitimate interest in running a safe, working website.
Your preferences. A technical cookie remembers the language you picked so you don’t have to choose it again on every page. It is needed for the service and is used for nothing else.
Audience measurement. The site measures its audience with Google Analytics 4, set up through Site Kit by Google. It records, in aggregate, the pages viewed, visit length, traffic source and device type, to help us improve our guides. This data is processed by Google LLC and may be transferred to the United States. Measurement cookies are only set with your consent, collected through the banner shown on your first visit.
Links to retailers. Some articles link to partner stores. When you click one, the retailer sets its own cookie to record that you arrived from our site. That cookie is managed by the retailer under its own privacy policy, and vanlife4life never sees the details of your purchase. Our affiliate page explains how this works.
How long information is kept
Technical cookies last for your session or up to one year. Server logs are kept under the hosting provider’s rules. Retailer cookies follow each retailer’s own duration.
What we don’t do
We never sell, rent or trade any data, and the site shows no targeted advertising.
Your rights
You can ask to access the information about you, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its use, and receive it in a portable format. Just write to contact@vanlife4life.com and we will reply within one month. You can also block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact your national data protection authority, which in France is the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
Changes to this page
We will update this page whenever the site adds a tool that processes data, and the date at the top shows the latest revision.
